Brittney Chambers from CBC Equine shares tips and spreads knowledge!

Brittney is a passionate horsewoman teaching over 60 students in English and Western fundamentals at her farm, CBC Therapeutic Horseback Riding Academy LLC, in Elk Grove, California. CBC is a therapeutic riding academy that impresses upon and teaches the skills that one can learn by working with a horse, are skills that one can use in their everyday lives. We couldn’t agree more!

Contributing in so many ways, Brittney recently launched a blog. Here she is shedding some serious knowledge from horse care, riding tips, to helping you listen to horses better. We especially love watching her day to day riding lessons and barn activity on her Instagram @cbcequine and @brittneychorsemanship

We recently featured Brittney in our ‘lesson notes’ series. We wanted to understand a top tip and useful practice that she imparts on her students, here it is for you to soak up!

“Relax your shoulders. High shoulders pulls us out of the saddle causing us to be tense in our legs. Relax your shoulders, and have the rest of your body follow suit.”

Having sources of inspiration and knowledge in our horse community helps us learn and discover daily. Take some notes, ask some new questions, and see how you can grow even more in your horse journey by learning from instructors like Brittney!

The academy is growing and to help support its growth and maintain supplies for their horses you can contribute to CBC through their Amazon wishlist
